Before you choose any hospice provider, please find out about the services they provide. The information you get ultimately determines the level of care, comfort and support you and your family will receive. At Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, we are committed to patient-centered services that set us apart:
We provide designated professional staff for each patient Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. After hours, we have evening on-call nurses and designated weekend nurses and other staff available. None of our nurses are required to take calls in the evenings after working all day. So when a nurse starts work each day, he/she is refreshed and focused to give the best care possible.
We have a Hospice and Palliative Medicine board certified Medical Director whose job it is to oversee the care of each person who is receiving hospice services and palliative care consults.
We are a local, non-profit hospice who has provided care to the Carolina Foothills for over 30 years. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care for serious illness, meeting the medical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals and their families. Our services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. However, we serve anyone, regardless of insurance coverage or ability to pay.
We accept referrals and make admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We respond to referral calls immediately and can admit within 2 hours, or on a schedule that meets the needs of patients and families.
We have a Hospice House (in-patient hospice facility) for quick and easy access, should the need arise.
We have a volunteer staff of over 250 trained and compassionate individuals who make a difference every day in quality of life for our patients and their families.
When death occurs, whether it is sudden or comes after a long illness, the loss can be overwhelming. Hospice bereavement professionals provide care and support in a safe and confidential manner to both our hospice families and to others in the community.
