Smith Phayer Hospice House: Serving the needs of the Carolina Foothills

There are times when people who are receiving hospice care in their homes need greater medical attention than can be provided at home. SPHH provides medical expertise in a homelike setting for those who need short-term, round-the-clock hospice care for a variety of reasons. Inpatient care is also available for those who need a place to spend their final days.

Thanks for all your wonderful help to my Aunt & Uncle. They mean the world to me and so to see them in such good care at your hospice facility puts my mind at a bit of ease while I am back here in Chicago. I was touched by the way you are all able to put the patient and family at ease. Everything is handled in a professional and courteous manner, from the distribution of medication, checking on my aunt’s comfort level, suggesting a bath on one of her “good days”, or even making a cup of tea for my uncle. --A grateful niece
